What do I need to know?

Minor injuries can usually be self-treated. If treated incorrectly or inadequately, however, inflammation can develop or the healing process can be slowed down.

It is therefore important to know which wounds I can treat myself

  • cuts, scratches and puncture woundsn
  • abrasions and lacerations
  • bites and insect bites
  • burns

Whether I need medical attention, e.g.

  • for extensive and deep wounds
  • for wounds in or close to sensitive areas such as the eyes or arteries
  • for heavily bleeding and dirty wounds
  • for wounds, in which the cause of these wounds is still located

how I first of all go about cleaning the wound before I apply a wound healing product
whether I need a wound dressing
whether I am vaccinated against tetanus.
