How do I treat lacerations and bruises?

Those who like to potter about or tinker with cars, motorbikes or bicycles know: the tool slips and the hand hits something hard – the skin bursts open, is lacerated or badly bruised.

Small wounds

  • depending on how badly the wound is weeping and bleeding, leave open or cover
  • if inflamed, apply Tyrosur® Gel (for wounds that look like they will weep: Tyrosur® Powder)
  • for bruises, apply cooling dressings to reduce the swelling and alleviate the pain

Large wounds

  • as a basic principle, promptly go and see a doctor
