How do I treat lacerations and bruises?
Those who like to potter about or tinker with cars, motorbikes or bicycles know: the tool slips and the hand hits something hard – the skin bursts open, is lacerated or badly bruised.
Small wounds
- depending on how badly the wound is weeping and bleeding, leave open or cover
- if inflamed, apply Tyrosur® Gel (for wounds that look like they will weep: Tyrosur® Powder)
- for bruises, apply cooling dressings to reduce the swelling and alleviate the pain
Large wounds
- as a basic principle, promptly go and see a doctor
(max. 6 hours)
